Acupuncture

Although an ancient practice used for over 2500 years, modern acupuncture uses current concepts of neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, and pathophysiology to provide a safe and effective treatment for a variety of health conditions.

After a thorough history taking and physical examination we may recommend acupuncture as part of your treatment plan. Acupuncture involves the comfortable insertion of small, thin, sterile needles at specific points on the body (commonly called acupoints). Acupuncture promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating these specific acupoints.

The scientifically proven benefits of acupuncture include pain relief, reduced inflammation, improved range of motion, increased circulation, stress reduction, improved nerve conduction, as well as improved organ function.

Acupuncture is often utilized to treat a variety of conditions including:

  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Chronic Pain
  • Sport Injuries
  • Muscle Tension & Strains
  • Joint Pain
  • Tendonitis
  • Headaches & Migraines
  • Jaw pain (TMJ disorders)
